MCHS's Van Dyke takes fifth in Platte

PLATTE — Mitchell Christian’s Cristian Van Dyke finished in fifth place Saturday at a cross country meet in Platte, finishing the 5,000-meter race in 17:40.

PLATTE — Mitchell Christian’s Cristian Van Dyke finished in fifth place Saturday at a cross country meet in Platte, finishing the 5,000-meter race in 17:40.

In the 4,000-meter girls’ varsity race, Mitchell Christian’s Becca Glanzer was 13th in 17:02. Katie Reynen was 22nd in 17:47, Samantha Piehl was 35th in 18:46, Leah Berg was 39th in 19:16 and Maibritt Ravensbeck was 42nd in 20:42.

In the boys’ JV race, Mark Pretre was 13th in 17:41 and in the girls’ JV race, Aimee Lafferty was 16th in 20:51.

Mitchell Christian will compete again Wednesday in Parker.
