FREEMAN — The Mitchell Christian soccer team fell to 0-6-1 on the season after a 4-0 loss to Freeman Academy Tuesday in Freeman.

Caleb Mueller made 10 saves in goal for the Golden Eagles. Freeman Academy outshot Mitchell Christian 14-10.

MCHS coach Bob Lemon said the best scoring opportunity for the Eagles came in the second half when the ball was crossed over the field and a forward had a wide open shot but missed.

“We had a lot of opportunities,” MCHS coach Bob Lemon said. “That (missed shot) was the epitome of kind of how the night went. We were not able to put away chances. We had good opportunities, but we weren’t able to put them away.”

Mitchell Christian hosts Sturgis Friday at the Cadwell Park soccer complex.
