Steven Gene Harmon, 53, of Hill City, died Friday, July 31, 2009, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Oacoma Community Center, with the Rev. Cal Kroeker officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Oacoma.

He was born Sept. 4, 1955, in Chamberlain to Gene and Iris (Hutmacher) Harmon. He graduated from Chamberlain High School and married Cinthia Graves on Aug. 19, 1978, in Chamberlain.
He worked in the construction business for more than 30 years and at the time of his death was a construction foreman for Highmark Construction. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
He is survived by three daughters: Kristi Elder, Rapid City; Karina Harmon, Denver; and Melissa Harmon, Rapid City; a son, Ryan Harmon, Rapid City; his mother, of Oacoma; three brothers: Louis Harmon, Sioux Falls; John Harmon, Chamberlain; and Bill Harmon, Oacoma; a sister, Mary Pat Hoover, Eau Claire, Wis.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter.
