A man who already was charged with simple assault against a law enforcement officer now faces an extra charge after failing to appear in court.
Court paperwork filed July 20 states that Daniel Richard Roan Eagle, 38, failed to appear Feb. 28, 2008, for a preliminary hearing in Davison County court.
Failure to appear and simple assault against a law enforcement officer are each Class 6 felonies. The maximum sentence on each charge is two years in the state penitentiary and a $4,000 fine.
