Mildred Wilson, Lake Andes

Mildred Irene Wilson, 88, Lake Andes, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital, Parkston.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Lake Andes. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Lake Andes. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

She was born on Oct. 10, 1920, in Hot Springs to Jack and Martha (Ryan) Brandis.

In 1940, she married Orville Dvoracek in Hartington, Neb.

In July 1990, she married Harold Wilson in Olivet.

She worked many jobs, including at Jack’s Dry Cleaners, Pete’s Café as a dishwasher and cook and Sportman’s Café as a cook.

She retired in 1992.

She is survived by three children: Lila Kellogg and husband Ron, Armour; Orville Dvoracek Jr. and wife Sherry, Sioux Falls; and Sherry Leasure and husband Ron, Lake Andes; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Cecil Brandis and wife Emma, White River.

She was preceded in death by both her husbands, two granddaughters, a stepdaughter, Arleen Wilson; a stepgreat-granddaughter, her parents and three brothers.
