Alice Mitchell, Butte, Neb.

Alice Mae Mitchell, 80, Butte, Neb., died April 15, 2009, at the Gregory Community Hospital, Gregory.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Butte, with burial in the Butte Cemetery.

Clausen Funeral Home, Burke, is handling the arrangements.

She was born Nov. 12, 1928, at Naper, Neb., to William and Anna (Stahlecker) Ullrich.  

She attended rural school in Boyd County, Neb., and graduated from Butte High School in 1947. 

She taught rural school until her marriage.

On June 6, 1949, she married Johnnie L. Mitchell. 

She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Butte and served as a CNA at Butte Nursing Home.  

She is survived by her children: Lonnie, Tucson, Ariz.; Michael and his wife, Minnie, San Benito, Texas; Stanley and his wife, DeMaris, Seward, Neb.; Kelly and his wife, Charlotte, Butte; and Jo Ellen and her husband, Lee, Stuart, Neb.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Dallas Ullrich and his wife, Lavonne, Lakeside, Calif.; sister-in-law, Helen Mitchell, and brother-in-law, Bill Crawford, both of O’Neill, Neb.; and numerous other family and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter-in-law; her parents; and parents-in-law.
