Norbert P. Neugebauer, 82, Ethan, died Monday, April 13, 2009, at Royal C. Johnson VA Hospital, Sioux Falls.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, Parkston. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dimock.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church with a 7 p.m. prayer service.
Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston, is handling arrangements.

He was born on May 10, 1926, on the family farm near Parkston to William and Emma (Kretchmer) Neugebauer.
He grew up on the farm and attended school near there.
He attended Parkston High School, graduating in May 1944.
He entered the U.S. Army on May 12, 1945, and served until being honorably discharged on Oct. 13, 1946.
On March 12, 1954, he married Rose Reiser, of Tripp, in Luverne, Minn.
They farmed near Ethan.
He served 24 years on Worthen Township Board and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where he held various offices. He was also a member of National Farmers Organization and Ethan American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, three sons: Douglas, Dennis, and Rodney and wife Linda, all of Mitchell; two daughters; Joyce Hohn and husband Randy; and Janet Driggs and husband Doug, all of Mitchell; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters: Rose Puetz, Plankinton; Helen Tatro, White Lake; and Lillian Law, Grants Pass, Ore.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy; his parents and four brothers: Walter, Leonard, Ralph and Delbert.
