Jerome Hohn, 77, Parkston, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at Royal C. Johnson VA Center, Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Dimock. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Koehn Brothers Funeral Home, Parkston.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1932, near Dimock to Peter and Theresa (Tischler) Hohn.

He attended school at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Dimock.

He farmed a short time before entering the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He returned home and farmed.

He worked for Dimock Dairy for several years after retiring from farming.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by two sisters: Marcella Jendersee and Delores Hohn, both of Parkston; two brothers: Alvin, Mount Vernon; and Marvin and wife Mary, Dimock; a brother-in-law, Harold Fischer, Parkston; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Ann Fischer; an infant sister, a brother-in-law, Roy Jendersee; two sisters-in-law: Lori Fischer and Edna Hohn; a nephew and a niece.
