'American Pickers' coming to SD

Treasure hunters from the series "American Pickers," which airs on History, will return to South Dakota in early summer.

The hit documentary series follows hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz as they pick through collections in search of America's most valuable antiques and learn the interesting stories behind them.

In advance of the visit, Wolfe and Fritz are on the lookout for large, unique collections of antiques that they can spend the better part of a day picking. They're especially interested in antique collections with interesting stories.

Single items and retail shops — anything open to the public—are excluded.

On a mission to recycle and rescue America's forgotten relics, the Pickers

hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America's past.

Anybody who has or knows about a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques can send their name, phone number, location and a description of the collection with photos to: americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 855-OLD-RUST.
