YANKTON (AP) — A Yankton man who attempted to strike his neighbor with a machete has pleaded no contest.

Authorities say a victim reported that Randles had swung a machete at him twice, requiring him to duck to avoid a head injury. During the scuffle, Randles struck a stereo speaker with the machete.

Law enforcement officers used a Taser stun gun to subdue Randles.

Randles faces up to 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine. He is slated to be sentenced on Monday.
