Work to begin on SD Highway 34 Tuesday
Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday on Highway 34 in Sanborn and Miner counties from the intersection of Highway 37 at mile marker 341 to mile marker 365 near Howard, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
Crews will place an asphalt concrete overlay and gravel on the shoulders on two sections of Highway 34 -- from mile marker 341 to 350 and from mile marker 356 to 363. No work will be done between mile marker 350 and 356.
Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 10.
During working hours, traffic will be controlled using a pilot car and flaggers. Motorists should be prepared to stop and can expect a short delay. The project has a completion date of Oct. 25.
