Woonsocket man pleads guilty to assault, drug charge
A Woonsocket man pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of a controlled substance and simple assault.
Nathan Wells, 20, was arrested in June for assaulting a female victim at a residence in Mitchell, and for being in possession of oxycodone, a controlled prescription drug.
He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for the drug charge, a felony, and a maximum of one year in jail and a $2,000 fine for simple assault, a misdemeanor.
Wells is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
