Woman accused of possessing meth
A Mitchell woman is accused of possessing methamphetamine.
Mitchell police conducted a parole search of 31-year-old Leah Sheilds' apartment earlier this month. They found a plastic baggie, syringe and metal spoon, each with residue, which tested positive for meth, according to court documents. Sheilds admitted the items belonged to her.
The charge carries a maximum penalty upon conviction of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
