SPEARFISH — Prior to his team’s quarterfinal matchup with Mount Vernon/Plankinton, Winner coach Larry Aaker said he had confidence in his team’s ability to finish out games.

His girls’ basketball team backed up his words as the Warriors pulled out a 52-46 overtime victory over the Titans Thursday at the Class A state tournament at the Young Center in Spearfish.
