Jalen Voss named NAIA, GPAC player of week
By The Daily Republic
Dakota Wesleyan University junior Jalen Voss has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference and NAIA Division II men’s basketball player of the week, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.
Voss averaged 33.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in the Tiger men’s two wins last week. The 6-foot-7 forward had 33 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots in a 102-85 victory over Northwestern College, and added to that performance by recording a career-high 34 points in DWU’s 86-72 upset win over No. 13 Hastings.
This is Voss’ second weekly GPAC honor, and this is the first time a Tiger men’s basketball player has earned the national weekly honor since Brock Seim in 2006.
