The Ethan basketball coaches are set to speak at this week’s Quarterback Club meeting tonight.

Scott Giblin is the girls’ head coach and Bryce Roth is the boys’ head coach. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at The Depot in Mitchell.

Storm beat Chamberlain, Andes Central

BURKE — The Burke/Gregory wrestling team beat Chamberlain and Andes Central in a triangular Tuesday.

The Storm beat Chamberlain 65-9 in the first dual and defeated Andes Central 66-12 in the final dual. In the middle dual, Chamberlain beat Andes Central 65-16.

Gregory’s Kurt Braun (138), Brandon Warnke (152) and Skye Soesbe (182) each won both of their matches by fall Tuesday.

Burke/Gregory is 4-0 in duals this season and competes at the Philip Invite Friday in Philip.

DWU volleyball adds six for 2014

Dakota Wesleyan University volleyball coach Lindsay Wilber announced six additions to the team for the 2014 season.

Lauren Tadlock and Emily Pengilly, transfers from Iowa Central Community College and Black Hills State University, are on campus this semester and are with the team.

Kaci Oliver, of Philip, Christine Patterson, of Fayetteville, N.C., Caitlynn Peetz, Sidney, Neb., and Mallori Rabenberg, of Britton, will join the team as freshmen in the fall.

Bon Homme to host youth girls’ basketball tourney

Registration is open for the fourth- through sixth-grade girls’ basketball tournament, which is Feb. 23 in Tyndall.

The entry fee is $75 per team and the deadline to register is Feb. 14.
