Wakpala man pleads not guilty to murder
PIERRE (AP) — A Wakpala man accused in a September 2008 beating death has pleaded not guilty in federal court to second-degree murder and assault.
Twenty-five-year-old Stoney End of Horn is accused of beating Pauline Brave Crow in rural Wakpala, causing a head injury that killed her. Court documents do not indicate the relationship between the two.
End of Horn faces up to life in prison if convicted. He remains in custody pending trial. A trial date has not been set.
