Wagner man falls in river, dies
PICKSTOWN — A Wagner man died in a drowning accident Tuesday, according to the Charles Mix County Sheriff’s Office.
A news release from the office said Robert Clemens, 71, was fishing at about 3:30 p.m. from the Spillway Boat Ramp Dock on the Missouri River below Pickstown with his brother.
Clemens fell from the boat dock into the water, the news release said. His body was recovered from the water at about 4:05 p.m. by the sheriff’s office.
It appears that a medical condition may have been a factor in the accident, the sheriff’s office reported. An investigation into the drowning is ongoing.
