UPDATE: Authorities say 25-year-old Woonsocket woman murdered

USD women top Denver 88-67

VERMILLION — The University of South Dakota women’s basketball team picked up an 88-67 win over Denver Friday at the DakotaDome.

The Coyotes (12-11, 3-5 Summit) have won three of their last four games. Polly Harrington led all players with 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Nicole Seekamp added 17 points, Raeshel Contreras had 15 points, three assists and three steals and Tiar Hemiller recorded 14 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

Denver (5-18, 3-5 Summit) was led by Alison Janecek with 17 points, while Kailey Edwards added 11 in the effort.

The Coyotes host Fort Wayne in another Summit League contest Thursday.
