United Way soars past goal, raises $437,738
Mitchell United Way announced Friday at the Ramada that the organization's annual fundraising campaign brought in $437,738, nearly $13,000 beyond the goal.
It was the 31st consecutive year that the local United Way attained its goal. This year, the goal was $425,000.
At Friday's awards luncheon, many who donated sat alongside others who will be helped by the money.
