United Way drive drawing to close; end date is Nov. 2
The 2012 Mitchell United Way Campaign is drawing to a close as the official end date is Nov. 2. The awards luncheon is planned for Nov. 16.
Dave Stevens, executive director of the United Way, said pledges received so far are running about 9 percent behind the page a year ago. The United Way Board of Directors has set a goal of $440,000. Funds received will be allocated to the 28 area agencies supported by the United Way.
"If you know a neighbor, friend, relative or your family has benefited from the services of one of our member agencies please consider giving or increasing you pledge for this year," Stevens said. The Mitchell United Way hopes to achieve its goal for the 32nd consecutive year.
