Two fail alcohol sting
The South Central Alcohol Task Force conducted 15 alcohol compliance checks Feb. 18 in the city of Mitchell.
There were two businesses that failed: the Corn Palace (as previously reported) and Rob's Short Stop. In both instances, the clerks asked for and checked the confidential informant's identification, but still made the sale of alcohol. This is the Corn Palace's and Rob's Short Stop's first failure within a 24-month period.
The following businesses were checked and passed: Aces & Eights, Overtime Steakhouse and Lounge, Thirsty's, Village Bowl/Spare Change Casino, Westside Sinclair, County Fair Food Store, Leader Sporting Goods, Walmart, Super 8 Motel, I-90 Travel Center, Cubby's East, Chef Louies and Pizza Hut.
