Tripp native wins Internet radio award

A Sioux Falls based Internet radio station, programmed by Tripp native Colin “Cruz” Strombeck, is now an international award-winning station.

“The Blast,” at www.TheBlast.FM, is the 2013 winner of the “Best Single Stream Webcaster” award at the RAIN (Radio And Internet Newsletter) Internet Radio Awards, which were held in Orlando in conjunction with the NAB National Association of Broadcasters/Radio Advertising Bureau’s (RAB) Radio Show.

Other winners in the event included Pandora, Boston’s WEEI, Radionomy and Tune-In Radio.

The Blast, also known as Blastrock from TheBlast.FM, is a Christian Rock, Alternative and Metal internet radio station owned by The Blast Ministries, a South Dakota-based nonprofit corporation.
