Timeline of road vacations in Day County
The Troy Township Board of Supervisors in Day County published legal notice stating that a petition had been received seeking to vacate 15 segments of public roadways covering more than 15 miles in the township.
The adjoining landowners were Darwin Peckham, Donald Grode, Larry Herr, Theodore Myron, Michael Herr, Lauren Johnson, Stephen Witt, Daniel Grode, Elizabeth Korf, Jerry Busch, Lyle Busch, Daniel Ash, LaRon Herr, Leo Warrington, Jacquelyn Duerre, Mary Johnson, Robert Duerre, Thad Duerre, James Duerre Family Trust, Marcella Duerre, Linda Witt, Eugene Ausland, Lori Ash, Randy Peterson, Dwight Wookey, Carmen Wookey Trust, Mark Schutz, Clinton Duerre, Francis James, Gary Anderson, Damon Witt, Beverly Ohleen, Charles Vehe Family Trust, and Anderson's Spring Valley Ranch.
The same day, the Valley Township Board of Supervisors in Day County published legal notice stating a petition had been received seeking to vacate two segments of road totaling two miles. The nine adjoining landowners were also part of the Troy Township petition.
May 27 -- The supervisors for Valley Township proceeded with vacating the two segments.
That same day, the supervisors for Troy Township decided against vacating three segments of road, totaling one and three-quarter miles, that lead to the Lily Game Production Area owned by the state Department of Game, Fish and Parks. The Troy supervisors then scheduled a second meeting for June 28 to consider the other 12 segments of road covered by the petition.
June 17 -- The Day County Commission closed a quarter-mile segment of County Road 33 in Troy Township effective July 15 citing "water and continued illegal uses of road and right of way," according to the published minutes from the commission's meeting.
At the same meeting three citizens — Jerry Pesall, Frank James and Brian James — discussed with the commission the closure of a segment of County Road 36.
June 23 -- The York Township Board of Supervisors in Day County published three legal notices stating petitions were received seeking that three segments of public roads totaling two and one-half miles be vacated.
July 14 -- The Troy Township board published legal notice stating that a petition was received seeking that seven segments of road totaling 14 and three-quarters miles be vacated.

July 7 -- The York Township Board of Supervisors approved vacating two segments of roads totaling two miles. The adjoining landowners are Kathleen Berns, Ordean Parks, Harlo House Insurance, Glenn Gebur, Richard Schiley and Gerald Pesall.
July 22 -- The Troy supervisors approved vacating eight segments of roads totaling 11 miles.
Aug. 4 -- The Butler Township Board of Supervisors in Day County published legal notice stating a petition was received seeking 13 segments of roads be vacated totaling 17 and one-fourth miles.
