“Their defense had a lot to do with it,” DWU women’s basketball coach Jason Christensen. “They just did a good job of keeping us out of the lane. We didn’t work hard enough to score anything on the inside.”

Four DWU women scored in double figures in the loss. Junior forward Kim Johnson and senior guard Amanda Hart each had a team-high 13 points. Junior guard Micaela Erickson added 12 points, while junior guard Celeste Beck had 10.

Concordia (12-2, 7-1 GPAC) outrebounded Wesleyan (10-3,4-2 GPAC) 51-42.

Jericca Pearson led the way for the Bulldogs with 15 points and seven rebounds. Bailey Morris had a game-high 17 points and Kristen Conahan added 16 points.

“Concordia was just better than us tonight,” Christensen said. “We were not ready to play. We went through the motions offensively and defensively.”

The loss snaps the Tigers’ four-game win streak. Wesleyan’s next game is against No. 12 Master’s College at the Jersey Mike’s Classic Dec. 27 in Santa Clarita, Calif.
