Budahl helps SDSU relay team to second place finish at Championships

INDIANAPOLIS — Mitchell native and South Dakota State University swimmer Andee Budahl helped the Jackrabbits 800-meter freestyle relay team finish second at the Summit League Championships Wednesday.

The relay squad, which consisted of Budahl, Hadlie Overhue, Julia Bodnaruk and Nicole Grimit, finished with a time of 7 minutes, 28.46 seconds. The time was also good enough to set a new school record. The previous mark was 7:34.66 and was set in 2012.

The Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships continue today at 11 a.m. on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis.
