Thief hurls baseball through glass door at Armour convenience store
ARMOUR -- A thief threw a baseball through a glass door in order to break into Xpress Mart in Armour late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
According to Douglas County Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Wingert, the thief made off with two-and-a-half cartons of cigarettes and some lighters, but did not seal any money from the convenience store, located on U.S. Highway 281.
Xpress Mart's shattered door sustained approximately $500 in damage.
"Quite the arm, I guess," Wingert said.
The investigation into the break-in is still ongoing, Wingert said.
