‘Survivor’ contestant to speak at Dakotafest Women’s Brunch
The DakotaFest Women’s Brunch is scheduled for Aug. 20 at the Highland Conference Center.
Reserved tickets went on sale June 9 on a fi rst-come, first-served basis at the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
This year’s theme is “Pursuit of Happiness.” Holly Hoffman will be this year’s speaker.
Born and raised in Eureka, Hoffman was the last remaining member of the Espada Tribe and the last woman standing on Season 21 of CBS’s hit reality show “Survivor Nicaragua.” Hoffman has been inspired to share her message of positivity, determination and confidence with business leaders, teachers and students across the nation.
An accomplished motivational speaker and the author of “Your Winner Within,” Hoffman acknowledges that life is made up of challenges. But within each person is an ability to focus thoughts, emotions and energy to succeed — with the knowledge, tools and discipline to do so.
This year’s event sponsors include Big Green/JM Aviation, POET Biorefining, Dakotafest, Vern Eide, KlockWerks and the chamber.
