Sturgis teen dies in Wyoming crash
LUSK, Wyo. (AP) — A teenager from South Dakota died Friday in a two-vehicle collision north of Lusk, the Wyoming Highway Patrol reports. Bradley J. Anderson, 16, of Sturgis, died in the crash about 5 p.m. on U.S. Highway 85. Authorities said the Chevrolet Tahoe Anderson was driving north about 23 miles north of Lusk and steered into the southbound lane.
A Dodge Ram truck driven by a 47-year-old woman from Burns tried to avoid the collision but could not. The SUV and truck sideswiped one another and both cars drove into a ditch. A passenger in the truck was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck. Anderson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the SUV. He died at the scene.
The occupants of the truck were taken to Wyoming Medical Center.
