Stickney man accused of aggravated assault for shooting grill near wife
A Stickney man is charged with aggravated assault after shooting a grill near his wife.
Randall Hoffman, 48, and his wife argued June 4 at their residence when he came home from work. She accused Hoffman of having an affair and, according to court documents, his wife said she was going to shoot herself, since Hoffman no longer needed her.
Hoffman grabbed a gun inside the front door of the house and shot the gas grill outside the home. His wife told law enforcement this action scared her because she was only a few feet away from the grill.
The maximum penalty of aggravated assault is 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
