Steven Mohr, 35, Sioux Falls formerly Mitchell, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Dakotabilities in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Saturday, August 24 at the Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Friday with a scripture service at 7:00 pm at the Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Steven Matthew Mohr was born July 3, 1978, in Mitchell to Jean and Jerry Mohr. Steve attended Children's Care Hospital and School from 1983 to 1999. He moved to Dakotabilities in Sioux Falls in 1999, where he lived and worked until he passed away. He was a member of the Church at the Gate, Sioux Falls. Steve enjoyed life to the fullest. He is remembered for his quick wit and his big smile. His nephews and niece were the light of his life. He enjoyed playing bingo and cards, attending country music concerts, and often attended Sioux Falls athletic events. One of his favorite things was participating in Special Olympics, for which he won numerous medals. He was on the Miracle League softball team since 2011. Steve will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Jean and Jerry Mohr of Mitchell and brothers, Bryan (Lisa) Mohr, Sioux Falls and Michael (Kim) Mohr, Mitchell. Steve was a beloved uncle to Brandon, Sioux Falls, Taylor, Spencer and Zach Mohr, all of Mitchell and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and caretakers. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Viola Mohr and Charles and Laura Volz.
