Steven Wayne Frank was born to Wayne and Dorothy (Potthoff) Frank on March 9, 1961 at Burke, South Dakota. Steve passed away November 3rd, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital in Burke, South Dakota at the age of 52 years.

Steve graduated from Bonesteel School in 1979. He graduated from Western Dakota Tech in Rapid City. He returned to Bonesteel and purchased Bonesteel Grocery and Hardware in 1982. Steve owned Bonesteel Grocery and Hardware for 29 years.

On October 8, 1994 Steve married Kristal Jordan in Rapid City, South Dakota. To this union one daughter, Micaela, was born on September 19, 1995. In 2001 Steve became a territory sales representative for Orgill.

Steve was a very giving and kind person involved in many aspects of the Bonesteel community including the Bonesteel Ambulance Service EMT, Fire Department, Community Development Corporation, City Council, Substitute Postmaster, School Board and School Bus driver.

Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, waterskiing, snow skiing, camping, gardening, and home projects. His greatest joy was watching Micaela participate in all her school activities.

Steve is survived by his wife Kristal and daughter Micaela of Bonesteel, SD; his mother, Dorothy of Burke, SD; one sister, Stacy (Zeisler) and her husband Craig of Naper, NE; and one brother, James and his wife Dulce of Burke, SD; his mother and father-in-law, Clayton and Sharon Jordan of Hulett, WY; his brothers-in law: Steve and wife Ginger Jordan of Moorcraft, WY and Brian and wife Jenny Jordan of Hulett, WY; his sisters-in-law: Susan and husband Mark Walter of Rapid City, SD and Joni and husband Chip Neiman of Hulett, WY; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his father Wayne in 2005.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the City Hall in Bonesteel, SD. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the hall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the hall. Burial will be in the Rosebud Cemetery, Bonesteel.
