State offices in Black Hills area closed due to storm
PIERRE – Gov. Dennis Daugaard has ordered all state offices in the Black Hills area closed today (Friday) because of the strong storm impacting the area.
State offices are closed in Butte, Lawrence, Meade, Pennington, Custer and Fall River Counties.
Officials are monitoring the storm closely and evaluating whether further state-office closures might be necessary during the day.
Officials also suggest that citizens with business at state offices in other western South Dakota counties call ahead to make sure the office remains open.
