Brian LaDue, a 6-foot-3 senior, had 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Malachi Clark, a 6-foot-5 junior, tallied 13 points and 17 rebounds.

“We talked all week about keeping the ball away from the paint and their big guys and we did a pretty good job of that in the first half,” Mitchell Christian coach Dennis Martin said. “In the second half they pounded the ball inside and we didn’t have an answer.”

With the height advantage, the Crusaders (6-9) outrebounded the Golden Eagles 48-29.

The Golden Eagles were led by Austin Bormann with 14 points and seven rebounds and Chandler Nelson with 10 points. Mitchell Christian shot 16-of-52 for 31 percent from the field and 40 percent from the line.

Sunshine Bible was 27-of-67 from the field and shot 50 percent from the line.

The Golden Eagles (4-11) host three straight home games, beginning today as they play James Valley Christian.
