Sioux Falls man found hiding in closet arrested
SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Sioux Falls police say they have arrested a man found hiding in the closet of an apartment.
The Argus Leader reports that Daniel Sweeris was arrested Monday on drug and theft charges.
A maintenance worker contacted building management after noticing someone had broken into an apartment. A police spokesman says the building manager found Sweeris hiding in a closet with a laptop, cellphone and electronic chargers in his arms.
Police say Sweeris fled the scene before they arrived.
The spokesman says police were able to locate Sweeris through a description of his vehicle. He says police found a small amount of meth in his car.
Sweeris is being held at the Minnehaha County Jail on more than $8,000 bond. Jail records did not list an attorney.
