Sen. Johnson to visit Mitchell this week
U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson will make two stops Wednesday in Mitchell.
At 2 p.m. Wednesday, Johnson, D-S.D., will be at the Mitchell Fire Division to discuss the impact of federal funding, according to a news release from his office.
He will visit the Mitchell Department of Public Safety garage, 201 W. First St., with Mayor Lou Sebert, Public Safety Chief Lyndon Overweg, Assistant Fire Chief Paul Morris, Fire Marshal Marius Laursen and firefighters Zachary Dalrymple and Brad Kobza.
At 3 p.m. Wednesday, he will tour the new Campus Center at Mitchell Technical Institute, 1800 E. Spruce St. Johnson is scheduled to be joined by MTI President Greg Von Wald; Mark Gerhardt, the vice president of industry relations and development; and Julie Brookbank, director of marketing and communications.
