SDSU, USD tip off in women's Summit championship

SIOUX FALLS (AP) -- It's an in-state battle Tuesday for the Summit League women's basketball championship and a guaranteed trip to the NCAA tournament.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits beat IPFW 86-59 in the one of the semifinal matchups on Monday. Ashley Eide scored 16 points to lead five Jackrabbits in double figures for top-seeded South Dakota State.

In the other semifinal, the South Dakota Coyotes upset higher ranked IUPUI 82-72. Nicole Seekamp scored a team-leading 27 points in the effort as South Dakota shot nearly 77 percent from the field in the second half.
