SD students asked to apply for summer science camp
PIERRE (AP) -- The South Dakota Department of Education is accepting applications for high school students to attend a national science camp in West Virginia this summer.
Two high school seniors from each state will be selected to attend the National Youth Science Foundation camp from June 27 to July 21. Participants complete hands-on research projects and meet with scientists and other professionals.
Travel to the camp will be covered for the students selected.
Applications are available at www.nysc.org and must be submitted to South Dakota's state selection coordinator by Feb. 17.
