SD state parks taking July 4 weekend reservations
PIERRE (AP) — It's a sign that summer can't be far away.
The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department says reservations are now being taken for campsites and cabins on the Fourth of July weekend.
To arrive on Wednesday, July 2, reservations open Thursday.
The state says because it's a holiday weekend, bookings that include any of the dates of July 3-6 require at least a three-night stay.
Arrangements for campsites and cabins can be made as many as 90 days before arrival, except at Custer State Park, which accepts reservations one year out.
