SD Soybean Council elects new leadership, welcomes new board member
An area man was recently elected chairman of the board of directors for the South Dakota Soybean Research & Promotion Council.
Marc Reiner, a soybean farmer from Tripp, was elected to the position. Reiner is a fifth-generation farmer and raises soybeans, corn, wheat, alfalfa, beef cattle and hogs on his farm. Reiner has served on the SDSRPC board since 2006, and he is currently the SDSRPC's representative to the United States Meat Export Federation.
"As soybean production continues to increase in our state, it is really an exciting time to be involved in the soybean industry," Reiner said. "I look forward to working with South Dakota's soybean farmers and continuing to wisely invest checkoff dollars in research, market development and promotion activities."
