SD schools closing early due to extreme heat
RAPID CITY (AP) -- Schools around South Dakota are closing early due to extreme heat.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for high temperatures Wednesday from the mid-90s in the northeast to near 110 degrees in the central part of the state.
The media reports that several schools in the Aberdeen and Rapid City areas are closing in the early afternoon.
