SD Pork Producers to hold meetings in Mitchell and Watertown
SIOUX FALLS -- The South Dakota Pork Producers Council announces its Producers Meetings at two South Dakota locations on Thursday.
"Pork producers are faced with having to make some very serious management decisions due to extremely high feed costs resulting from the current drought situation," said Glenn Muller, SDPPC executive director. "Dr. Thaler's expertise and experience in maximizing feed efficiencies becomes even more valuable during times like this. We encourage anyone with an interest in learning how to respond to these increasing feed costs to attend these meetings."
Meetings date and locations are as follows:
Thursday, Aug. 2, 1 p.m.; SDSU Extension, Mitchell Regional Center in Mitchell
Thursday, Aug. 2, 7 p.m.; SDSU Extension, Codington County Complex in Watertown
