SD gov. reappoints 4 to SD Conservation Commission
PIERRE (AP) — South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard has reappointed four members of the State Conservation Commission.
Aaron Kiesz of Aberdeen will represent municipalities on the commission. Charlie Moe of Rosebud and Wayne Bunge of Rapid City will represent the tree industry, and Douglas Hansen of Webster will be a member at large on the commission. Their new terms will expire on Dec. 31, 2016.
The commission oversees South Dakota's 69 conservation districts and the state's coordinated conservation plan. It also sets natural resources policy dealing with soil and water conservation and other issues.
