SD gets grant to train dislocated workers
PIERRE (AP) -- The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation has received a $418,000 federal grant to help train long-term dislocated workers for high-demand occupations.
State Labor Secretary Pam Roberts says the department refers people to training that will lead to jobs that pay well.
Long-term dislocated workers are defined as those out of work for at least 27 weeks.
