SD awards for work with people with disabilities
PIERRE (AP) — South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard will present awards next month to people and businesses who have contributed to the rehabilitation and employment of people with disabilities.
The award ceremony will be held Sept. 9 in Pierre.
Daniel Hammett of Box Elder will be recognized as outstanding employee with a disability, and Lori Kober of Vermillion will get an award for outstanding citizen with a disability.
Dee Jay's QSR Inc. of Sioux Falls and Burger King, Dakota King Inc. of Sioux Falls will be recognized as outstanding private employers. Mount Rushmore National Memorial will receive an award as outstanding public employer.
Maria Jongbloed of Watertown will get an award for transition services, and Lyle Cook of Eagle Butte will be recognized for distinguished service.
