Sully County Sheriff Bill Stahl told KCCR Radio the intruders used a pry bar last weekend to get through a door located below the courthouse's front steps. He says the intruders got into the clerk of court's office and a room used to hold evidence in criminal cases.

However, the sheriff says a review has indicated that nothing was taken.

Stahl says before the break-in, county officials were already looking at adding security measures in the courthouse. He says a deputy was applying for federal grants for security cameras and other items.

The sheriff says door locks in the courthouse have already been changed.
