Rapid City police investigating bar alley death
RAPID CITY (AP) — Rapid City police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in an alley behind a bar.
Authorities say officers were called to the Brass Rail about 9 p.m. Tuesday for an unwanted person causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Officers found the unwanted male in the restroom and arrested the 19-year-old for resisting arrest and unlawfully drinking alcohol.
The responding officers also found an unresponsive 44-year-old man in the alley. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, and an autopsy is pending. Authorities did not immediately identify him.
Police say they don't know if there is any connection between the man found in the alley and the man who was arrested.
