Rapid City man pleads down to misdemeanor drug charge
A Rapid City man pleaded guilty and received a suspended jail sentence Tuesday for possession of marijuana.
Matthew Bryan, 26, formerly of Mitchell, was sentenced during court at the Davison County Public Safety Center.
According to a plea agreement, Bryan pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor possession of 2 ounces of marijuana or less. The prosecution dropped a felony charge of distribution of 1 ounce or less of marijuana.
Bjorkman ordered a 30-day suspended jail sentence on the condition Bryan pay a $300 fine, $84 in court costs and $330.14 to the Drug Control Fund within 90 days of sentencing.
