RAPID CITY (AP) — Police say inhaling compressed air landed two people in jail after their vehicle plowed through traffic in Rapid City

Rapid City police spokeswoman Tarah Heupel tells the Rapid City Journal that 20-year-old Michaela Swanson was driving when her car crashed into three vehicles at an intersection Monday afternoon.

Police say Swanson continued driving and her car later collided with a fourth vehicle.

Swanson's car came to a stop in the ditch.

Police say Swanson's passenger, 20-year-old Craig Goodlow, was still ingesting compressed air when medical personnel arrived at the scene.

Swanson was charged with driving under the influence, ingesting, hit and run, and no proof of insurance. Goodlow was charged with ingesting.
