Prostitution arrest made in Mitchell
A Wisconsin woman was arrested Friday in Mitchell for prostitution.
Dajuanna Renee Diggins, 25, of Milwaukee, allegedly posted an escort solicitation advertisement on an Internet site. She was arrested after meeting an undercover law enforcement officer at a Mitchell motel and offering him sex in exchange for money.
The motel was not involved with the illegal activity, according to Detective Lt. Don Everson, of the Mitchell Police Division.
Prostitution is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in county jail, a $2,000 fine or both.
The Davison County Sheriff's Office, Sanborn County Sheriff's Office and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation assisted with the investigation.
